This handy little flush-cutting saw is used to cut protruding dowels or exposed tenons. It features a double sided blade which incredibly flexible with very fine teeth, specifically engineered with no kerf which means that the teeth will not mark the surface of the timber being cut. Like all Japanese saws this saw is designed to cut on the pull stroke as opposed to more western styles of saw which usually cut on the push, the advantage here is that the blade is in tension rather than compression which allows it to be much thinner.
